Does anyone use this site for text messages? and if so, have you been able to use the site the past week? It will not load up for me for some reason and was wondering if anyone else was having troubles.

It doesn't work for me now, but can you tell me what it does? I'm interested... :) Is it just for domestic North American texting, or does it work for international texting too?

as far as I know its only for US carriers, but I could be wrong. I have Sprint and only 50 texts a month on my plan so this site was great. I'm thinking that they will make it a pay for its service (like everything else) but who knows.

it was great when it worked.

Whenever I send txt's online, I send them from the Verizon Wireless website.

FWIW, did you know that AIM is also a text messaging gateway for the US and Canada?

Send an AIM message (using iChat, AIM, Adium, Proteus, etc), entering the target cellphone number in the form +1xxxxxxxxxx where the x's are the 10 digit phone number without dashes or other separators. The recipient will receive a text message that will indicate the AIM user ID of the sending party and also allow you to reply by text message (the reply text message will appear as an IM).

Even though you can / must (I think) use the country code, AFAIK the service only works with US/Canada numbers... :(

Does such a thing exist?

Actually, I guess if I was smart, what I should do is find out what the e-mail address for my friend's cell-phone in the Netherlands is (like the xxxxxxxxxx@tmomail.net that I have for text messaging from e-mail) and then send her texts that way when I'm near a computer. But ahhh, I guess right now things are ok as they are, since txt internationally is cheap with T-Mo.... :o
