I've just got a new powerbook, which is my first Mac computer. Im trying to find
anyway i want something to play my audio files/cd's as I don't really like iTunes all that much. Hopefully I would like to get something similar to winamp
anyway I was hoping somebody could recommend a suitable program, as it would be much appreciated?! ;)

Whamb player is alright, silly skins though. Might search for one myself, actually, need a more 'slimline' player than iTunes...

Uhg, winamp is absolutely horrific. Stick with iTunes, youll see the light. If u think its too bulky just get a remote for it.

How can someone NOT like iTunes?
Well, unless they dont want a huge library of music (which is understandable)

Sounds like an adjustment issue. iTunes runs circles around winamp, and there really isn't a better player out there. Take some time to get used to it!

I still miss my Winamp. Really, I do. Largely because I love this (http://www.sqrsoft.com.ar/en/) plugin. Basically, it's an insanely clever crossfader - the only thing it doesn't do is match bpm.
I have come across nothing even close in OS X. The iTunes fixed-length crossfader is a joke after using this...
