The Homepage feature of .Mac, and a few other features, are currently offline (11:36 PM ET). Does this mean that we'll FINALLY get new and better templates for Homepage, and possibly a storage upgrade to 1 GB???

it had better. G-mail gives 2gb away, and .Mac wants you to pay $99 a year for 1/8 that?

Nah, probably just regular maintenance.
Not that it wouldn't be great if they did upgrade... 250 MB next to 1 GB is sad, now next to 2 GB is just pathetic.

Two (2) things to keep in mind.
(1) People are more likely to fill up their .mac space then they are their gmail space.
(2) .mac provides other services in addition to email.
Also, I trust Apple a heck of lot more in regards to privacy than I do Google.

That's true. I have over 800 messages and I'm barely using any space.

How so? (Sorry, just wondering.)

How so? (Sorry, just wondering.)Google makes money from information.
Apple makes money from hardware and software.
Read the user agreements for both .Mac and GMail at some point. There are a couple of things in the GMail policy that bother me.
