Does anyone know of a way to check MS Exchange email from an OSX native client? Will there be one in the future? Has anyone heard any more about the port of Ximian's Exchange client?

I work at NBC, and as a Mac OSX enthusiast, I find it extremely limiting to have to use Microsoft Outlook 2001. Does anyone know how to check mail on Exchange servers using Entourage?

What's up with Microsoft not providing exchange support in their expensive, office compatible email client (Entourage)?

I used to work at a company with Exchange servers...the mac users had to access it via the web browser(we could get our mail using outlook express but if we wanted to use the same interface and features as regular Outlook it had to be done via the browser). I know that's not the answer you were looking for but that was the only way to do it. Have you tried Entourage since that is most like Outlook?

I've used both Entourage and Apple's Mail app to check my Exchange mail. Exchange server supports IMAP so as long as this feature is activated on your Exchange server you should be good to go.

Just set up an IMAP account in Entourage and point it to your Exchange server. You'll still need Outlook 2001 (I actually use Virtual PC and Outlook XP) to handle your calendar and such.

Enjoy...
