i want the ability to create slideshow dvds playable on dvd players just like iDVD.

i want the application to not open my entire library on startup and i want it to not copy all my pics into its own little folders

Application not opening all the photos at start up is a good idea.
I would also like the ability to password protect some folders, yes so I can store my prOn darn it, just kidding:p
But like another poster mentioned there some pictures, maybe personal that you don't want everyone and anyone seeing on iPhoto opening:rolleyes:

iPhoto will be version 2.0, not 1.5 as the above article states... but iDVD export will be there... supposedly soon... prob by MWSF.
