I have just migrated all files, applications & settings from iMac G4 10.3.9 to iMac G5 10.4.2 (firewire Target mode) and overall it went great. One odd bit of behavior: every time I start up the new iMac I find a "recovered files" folder (with recovered files) in the trash. They are most often working word files (upgraded to Office 2004 after migration), but at other times there are things like "parsed PPD", copies of Entourage preferences - REGEDIPMHEGPLmskkkkkk--------, and other things I don't recognize. Anyone else had this experience? Why does this happen? Can I stop this from happening & should I care?

From Apple (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301913):
Mac OS X: "Recovered Items" in the Trash can be safely deleted
After starting up in Mac OS X, sometimes you might find a "Recovered Items" folder in the Trash. Don't worry, you can safely delete this folder.
This folder contains items that are periodically flushed from your computer's temporary directory (/tmp).
Hope this helps :)
