-Guys

Check this out! Even though it's a classic App, if you have a PC sitting around, and want to control it (or like a friend of mine has a notebook with a busted display and dosen't want to buy a new one), give this link a shot.

It's essentially a GNU version of PCAnywhere - very slick.

i would rather use the FREE program microsoft allows for download (what? microsoft and free in the same sentence?) it's called remote desktop client (http://www.microsoft.com/mac/DOWNLOAD/MISC/RDC.asp)

Well I guess it's a preference thing, but I prefer the simplicity of the VNC - no worries about version of Window past '95 or Terminal Services or Remote Desktop Services in Windows.

Now that's portability... Carry not one, but two computers. Wouldn't it make more sense to just plug in an external monitor?
