Hi, I did some searching on MacRumors and didn't find anything about this... has anyone tried using Kazaa Lite for Mac OS X? According to their site Kazaa Lite (http://www.ikazaa.net) it is compatable with X. It costs money so I didn't want to pay until someone verifys it's legit! Thanks

seems like a scam to me. Yet another in the long line of kazaa scams. Even there satifaction guarantee seems fishy. Doesn't say anything about getting your money back. The only way i know of running Kazaa on a mac is with Neo, which isn't 100% kazaa, or running Virtual PC.
I do remember hearing the kazaa was opensource a long time ago when it was being developed for linux. I was curious to see if someone could get a hold of that source and port it to OS X

You gotta be fishy about something like that. No real support, no phone #, no screenshots,
demos, etc.

its a fake... there can't be a kazaa lite for osx until there is an official kazaa client for osx.
goto www.ishareit.net - look familiar? same product, same promises... different name... except this time they call it napster... (with the logo even, Roxio "might" be able to sue them)

Scam! No way you could convince me that this is the real deal. I figure we would have heard about it while it was in development if it was true.

well, looks like K++/Kazaa Lite source code... not the actual Kazaa source code.

Well it was the one that was sent to me during the MWSF iChat.
Is there anything that can be done with it though?

I have been unable to find a satisfactory file sharing client for OSX, but one I am about to try, and those real nerds of you should try is pslsk try soulseek (soulseek.org) for the pc version, its a pretty good piece of software, nothing impressive, but the hetwork has A LOT on it, a lot of good independent stuff, and thats matters more to me than the merits of the software (but less than if there is gator or tha bull on it)..but there is a python version on their site and it has instructions with how to run it on OSX (wooo *nix)...it requires using GTK, but might be worth it since there isn't anything else out there

You should all stop being lazy and use carracho! So what if it is decentralized... eventually... it might take a few hours... but you can find just about anything.

The newest build of Acquisition works great for me...written in Cocoa....it is a TON better than Limewire or Neo.

Yep it's one in a long line of nasty scams. Do NOT give them your credit card details.
They take your money and give you the Carracho client (which is FREE anyway) and nothing to do with kazaa.
See this link for more info.
