OPERA 7 HAS GAPING HOLES that can allow an attacker to read any of your files. The Israeli company GreyMagic Software, better known for its tireless reporting of flaws in Microsoft's Internet Explorer, has found five gaps in security in the recently launched Opera 7.

I think v. 7 is only available for Windows...but it's worth noting.

They're thinking about dropping the mac platform entirely, because of the release of Safari.

Apparently they were notified Friday of the problems with the final release of ver 7.0 and as of today it is fixed!

Although I must say it does remind me of the linux desktop OEOne (http://oeone.com/), style wise. blech! :(

Opera has always seemed like an overhyped POS to me. I was more worried when I saw this on the page :D :
