hey

when will people in the uk get full access to itunes
- like tv shows etc. this really restricts the use of a
video ipod, and certainly puts me off buying the new model.

i would bet apple are losing money because people in the uk and europe
don't have full use of itunes and are much less likely to but the latest ipod.

does anyone know why we don't get the tv shows etc - does anyone know the
company answer to this or have any knowledge on the subject?

kind regards

I think the biggest component is that copyright arrangements are country specific. That's why the content of every iTunes store is different -- that's why you have songs we don't have, just like we have ones you don't have. So, for instance, to sell you Desperate Housewives, Apple will have to negotiate with whoever owns those rights in the UK (i.e. ABC's arm or affiliate there). Likewise, to offer any British content, they will have to negotiate with the UK copyright holders... So it's all a country-by-country process.

That being said, Apple has been slow to expand services beyond music outside the US... I think, sadly, you have to just give it time. :(

Life is too short? Are we talking about something as dumb as computers here? Come on now.
