Dovecot?

I suddenly found a new user account in my machine with user id "Dovecot".

It's set up as a limited user though, but I know for certain that I didn't set this one up... was it an account that came standard with each MacOS installation?

Did you find it in Activity Monitor? Dovecot (http://dovecot.org/) is an open source email server.

Nope, I found the account when viewing Accounts under System Preferences.

Hmmm... I don't remember installing this Dovecott thing either... :confused:

Before I tell you that you have been hacked (its possible), you should check the software packages you recently installed, as even though you may not have installed this "dovecot" you may have installed some software that created the user.

If not, you've probably been hacked. :(
