I'm looking for an app that converts .rm (Realplayer format) into a type of video compatible with QT. Does such a tool exist?

Not easily. I believe that there's a Linux tool that can do it, but the only way I know of on a Mac is to use Snaps Pro or a similar app, which makes a recording of the screen.

I have Suse 10.0 running on my file/print server, so maybe I'll try to convert it on that, if I can find the tool

Despite Real complaining that Apple doesn't open up its iTunes DRM format, Real has never opened up its formats either, so there are likely no non-Real solutions.
