Copying Stuff from one Mac to another....

If I were to copy my entire Macintosh HD Directory from my old Powerbook to my new MBP, would all of my programs and everything copy, or would that screw a lot of things up?

I'd look into Applications->Utilities->Migration Assistant if I were you. :)

Just plain copying over everything can be problematic. I'd recommend installing the applications except for those simple ones which have no prefs, etc. It doesn't take all that long.

And, of course, follow licensing restrictions.
