According to the dashboard widget, the current weather in Houston is NaN (not a number). Should I be worried- does this mean a black hole is coming?

Pack your bags and run! The end is near! Or just restart, that should clear up the problem, I think.

It does it after a restart of the widget. The error must be on the server. Somebody divided by zero.

I would get under something sturdy quickly!

"nan" is a type of Indian bread. That could hurt if it hits you after falling thousands of feet from the sky!

are you sure you're connected to the internets?
My Widget's working just fine... (77096, fwiw)

Maybe do a restart of your computer?

Weirdo. Yes, I'm connected to the internets or you wouldn't be reading my reply. I'm using Houston, TX in the input panel.

Just checked, I got the same using 77096, but other cities work fine.

Edit: No, I was mistaken- I only get the error using 'Houston, TX'. Zip codes work fine.

The black hole must have moved. The temperature is now 24 degrees, down (up? sideways?) from NaN.

Must be a slow Sunday. I should get out more.

The one and only internets that Al Gore invented.

Well, I'm connected to teh intarweb and the weather for STL works fine. Maybe one of the internets just doesn't like your cities :D

You are all reading it wrong. It says "NaNo NaNo NaNo...", which can only mean that video iPod nanos are being announced tomorrow.

Sneaky way of leaking it, Apple. ;)

Either that or Mork is returning from Ork.

I thought about that, but then it would have been "NaNºº NaNºº NaNºº", which, clearly, it isn't. ;)

Katie, it looks like some of the Indian "nan" bread hit you in the head. I warned you... :p

Actually, NaN is not the result of division by zero.

All it means is that AccuWeather's server did not have data from Houston at the time that your widget accessed it.
