So how on earth does one get iWeb to see an existing site? I've just received my replacement MBP to discover that Backup didn't actually backup my iWeb site - or, if it did, it's keeping it well hidden.
It is all there on my iDisk, but I don't have the domain.site file in my local Library/Application Support folder.
What can I do? Why is iWeb not clever enough to look on the iDisk?

Anyone? Is it possible to recover an existing site from an iDisk, but for which there is no local copy?

unfortunately, you are probably out of luck. when iWeb is chugging along, it is actually making instructions for an html page. when you click "publish," the actual html files are generated. iWeb can't read html files, so your iDisk won't help. do you still have your old computer? if you do, i can help.

No, I don't unfortunately. I really don't trust Backup. Anyway - it was only one half of a page which is totally trivial to reconstruct - I was just wondering. Thanks anyway!
