Is there a OSX version for the iMac (Intel)?

Howdy, I have a ton of OSX cd/dvd and I need to boot to partition a iMac (Intel). Even though I hold C it won't boot, most probably because my OSX are not Mac Intel compatible. So I'm wondering is there a special OSX version for Mac Intel and what's on the cover is there a sticker or something?

What's wrong with the system restore disk(s) that came with the iMac...? :confused:

All Intel Macs have been sold well after Tiger (OS X 10.4) came out, and so, no, the retail OS X disks won't work... they're PPC only. You'll need the install disks that came with the iMac.

If you bought the iMac from Apple or a legitimate reseller (ie. not some shady person who didn't give you everything), the restore disks should be in the little box that says "Designed by Apple in California". It's the same box that the mouse and remote come in.

If you just have a stack of disks, they will be grey with white text and should say iMac Restore somewhere on them.
