I'm trying to lay out a magazine using, rather than one big document, InDesign's book feature. However, I'm having trouble getting it to maintain the spreads (all the documents within the book have facing pages) when I output the book to PDF. The PDF ends up as a bunch of individual pages. Does anyone have any idea what things I need to do to get it to keep the spreads? The 'spreads' box is, of course, checked in the export to PDF options panel. The Adobe documentation on this subject is very poor, and I can't figure out what I need to do. Help?

try posting your question in adobe's user-to-user forum for ID2 on Mac. They have some genuis bar type people there who know ID in and out. I only use it for poster's and small documents, so I can't help you much... Sorry.

I'll have a look later. I think there is a check-box which says 'keep speads together' or something in the .pdf export options.
