hey...for apple's software, do you like the brushed metal look or the white striped look?

I personally like the white striped look. I'm not too fond of the brushed metal. i wish apple gave us a option to choose about which skin we want.

I think they are just trying to tie them all in together a la iLife, but personally i actually like the brushed metal. I must be one of the few.

I don't like the matal look. I wish we had more options for skins though.

I like the stripe look because it speeds up my iBook in OS X.

I use Metallifizer to make all my stuff striped instead of metal. Unfortunately, it doesn't work on iTunes/iPhoto/iMovie/Quicktime...

That's because those aren't real metallized apps... they are just made to look like they're metallized, but they aren't genuine cocoa metal apps.

why would they not make iPhoto a true cocoa application? can someone please answer this?

on the skins....well, i usually get excited about a skin when browsing them. but after i finish looking at all of them and go back to the ones i liked, i tend to think about why i want to change the look of the os. i always come to the same conclusion....cause im a bit bored with aqua and the metal. i realized it wasnt cause i didnt like aqua or the metal...i just wanted a change. but actaully, for now, out of all the themes out there and concidering the way they flow with the whole os, i'll stick with apples idea of how it looks best. i would have to say aqua and the mix of metal is really well done.
