I have removed or i thought i removed IE from my iBook but it keeps appearing from somewhere and i want it gone. This happens when i select "Get OSX software" from the menu.
I have the latest version of mozilla installed instead.

Did you just remove it from the Dock or did you remove it from the Applications folder as well?
Also, after you trash the Application, you need to empty the Trash before it won't be found by anything.

What and how is wrong? Is "Get Mac OSX software" not the software updater for OSX?

"Get Mac OSX software" is nothing more than an internet shortcut to http://www.apple.com/macosx/get
