I have a macbook that I would like to backup weekly to my Desktop PC. Is there any software that will do this automatically each week over the network?

This link (http://www.pure-mac.com/backup.html) might be of interest to you. As long as your Macbook can see the drive where you want the backup information to go, be it Mac or PC, there shouldn't be any problems...
