so I don't really need ilife really - and it's taking up a considerable amount of space...
what's the best way to uninstall these applications (and any other ones that came preinstalled with os x?

drag to trash
yes its simple as that

Drag them to the trash. If you've opened them up, you should also go and find the preferences files in the Library folder and any Application Support files in the same folder.

or you could use this,

it deletes all the files in library etc about hte app for you :)

You could also use appzapper;)
