Hi, I was wondering if anyone could offer any ideas as to what happened to my startup disk icon (attached below). I tried restarting, repaired permissions, and it's stuck with some funny background.
I'm running a MacBook Core Duo, 10.4.8 (the icon was this way before and after today's security update).
Thanks in advance for anyone's help.

Okay, this is a pretty common problem. Close System Preferences and then find a file named com.apple.preferencepanes.cache in the Caches folder within your Home folder's Library. Drag this folder to the Desktop and reopen System Preferences. Better? :)

Super Jew does it again!:D

All newbies worship the Mad Jew and his teachings!!

Seriously, it seems you're always there with a helpful hint and a hand to hold. I seem to remember talk of the patented Jew-Bot Help System being integrated into OS X. I think Steve is announcing that on Tuesday during a special event - I got my "It's Jew Time" invite already.
