Hi folks,

I was wondering if anyone of you is of my opinion, that you can't call the new Music Store "fee free", because you need a .mac account, which brings you annual costs.

Of course, .mac has the same price with or without using the Store, but nevertheless you have to sign up.

Or did I get anything wrong?

Greets,
Veldek

i was thinking about this earlier today and it made me wonder the same thing.

the real question is whether or not you really have to have a .Mac account or just an Apple ID. If its the latter, then there truly isn't a fee. If the former...well, yeah.

They don't require you to have a .Mac account.

You can also sign up for 1-click ordering through an Apple Store account.

Navy is correct. You only need an Apple ID.

We .mac users happen to automatically have one.
