I bought a used B/W G3 that has had a G4 500 mhz processor upgrade. It had OSX Jaguar already loaded, and a couple years ago I updated to 10.2.8 which has run flawlessly. I now want to upgrade to Panther (For the sake of my daughters iPod) but not sure what firmware I have or should have to install Panther. Is it only an issue when upgrading from OS 9?
My Apple System Profiler is showing Boot Rom 1.1f4. I just want to make ABSOLUTELY sure this goes as smooth as possible. I rely heavily on this computer, and don't need any headaches or down time!
Thanks!

It needed the update to get to 10.2 but it should be fine going straight to 10.3 or even 10.4. Having said that, here (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=86117)'s Apple's list of Macs and their firmware update information. :)
