In Freehand MX the drawing tool seems to have changed. When drawing, instead of coming to an end, the line sticks to the cursor & follows it all over the page? Does anyone how to turn this off & just have the old Freehand 10 drawing tool preferences?
Has anyone else been confronted with problems in MX?

Sorry to tell you there is no way to turn that off, when you finish a path double click at the end to start a new path.

Because they can..;)
Honestly I don't know I guess they think is better than the older tool.
It takes a little time to get use to it but is not that bad.

I actually like this new tool. It has a smooth flow and works well for illustrating something. But there are so many OTHER things wrong with FHand MX...

Stupid decisions with the interface. Things that don't work -- for example, in FH10 (and many versions beforehand), you could always select a whole slew of shapes, GROUP 'em, then Fill and Stroke everything all at once. WHOA, said Macroidiots, that's too damn easy! So now when you have a group, you can't globally Fill and Stroke. You have to Ungroup and then individually affect each item. Totally retarded thinking. IT WASN'T BROKEN!
(sorry to shout)...
Anyhoo, I've gotta run for now, but I'll say this: If you've used Freehand 10 (or previous versions) and you give MX a whirl, I think you'll find many odd behaviors very quickly.
And, for what it's worth, I've been using/supporting/buying Freehand for several years....
So Boo-Hoo-Hoo. I just hope they get off their asses and fix the app'.

I think some of the changes made were becuase of the lawsuit they lost with Adobe and now we are paying for it.
Damm those lawyers;)

Have you had any problems with the printing side of MX?
I can't the page dimensions to change any bigger than an A4?

Not really, you can make the pages any size you want. It all depends on your printer PPD.

I'm using my old PPD's which I used with Freehand 10, but I can't change the page setup & it only lets me print on the default sizes?
How do I change this & what PPD's are you using?:D
