I'm a big fan of ImageReady for creating webgraphics; a lot of people rave about fireworks and from what i gather, this is Macromdedia's answer to ImageReady. I've never checked it out. In general, i don't like macromedia apps. I use Dreamweaver but it stays in code view! I don't do WYSIWYG ;) Anyway, how does fireworks compare to the ImageReady&Photoshop combo? Are there any features that make it worth getting as a compliment to the adobe apps?

I use Fireworks because I use Dreamweaver because I use Flash. All those programs just work together really well, especially with the new versions. I don't know anything about ImageReady, but I know that my brain just doesn't mesh well with Adobe products for some reason. I can't stand Photoshop, even though I know it's the standard. It's just too cumbersome for me.

I say if you tend to hate Macromedia products, use Adobe products. 'Nuff said.

Here's a link to a Webmonkey page that discusses the debate between ImageReady and Fireworks - it's a bit old (1998) but it gives some pretty good info.

I'm so away from web design... and I'm so glad I did. Every time some one come to me and ask me for a web site I'm allways ask for 5 times the market price (if there is one) just to leave clean from the problem.
