could i install 2 different versions of Mac OS X on the same computer if i have multiple hard drives? or does it have to be installed on the first hard drive?

i can not see a problem - 2 hard drives 2 versions of OS
(tiger and say leopard that is )

don't even need two hard drives, just two partitions, i believe.

Then, boot up holding OPTION and it should give you a screen asking which system you want. :)

yep, partitions ...
Works great for upgrades on a work machine, always wait until you know a version is stable before upgrading the backup.
That way if there is a problem, you can always revert to the copy of the OS you know will work.

Nopes, works for anything you can boot off. Firewire, USB, Network, interal harddive, etc...

oh ok. for some reason i thought bootcamp put some kind of bootloader on your hard drive. i guess that's something different
