Popping sound on Intel Imac after 10.4.10

After having installed 10.4.10, I am now hearing a pop sound from my speakers. Sometimes I hear a pop when I execute a process, sometimes it's just a single pop that seems random. Never more than one at a time. Wasn't happening before .10. Anyone seeing a similar issue?
