All of my icons are tinted white

Hello everyone,

For some reason all of my icons are tinted white after I last rebooted. Does anyone have an idea of why this is?

are you running tinker tool or similar 3rd party apps. I've had this happen with tinker tool on a PPC.

nope.. I didn't install anything like that, the only thing I did was use a terminal command for finder to show hidden files

that's what happened to me, but used tinker tool to show hidden files.

yep thats whats it, I disabled viewing hidden files and its back to normal, thanks

*note what confused me was it did not take affect until I rebooted, apparently if you type "killall finder" at the terminal it will take affect right away
