DS Emulator for Mac Laptops?

Hey guys,

Just wondering if you'd heard any chitter-chatter or have any thoughts about the feasability of a DS Emulator for MacBook/Pro? It's surely possible: representation of both screens and use of MacBook touchpad to mimic stylus input.

What do you think?

I don't know about touchpad "stylus" input, but the only DS emulator I know of for the Mac at all is a just-released port of DeSmuME (http://www.desmume.org/). Might try checking out their site and, if they don't do that, making a feature request!

Haven't done a whole lot of research but I know there are a bunch for Windows. So maybe run it through parallels or boot camp?

What difference does it make how old the thread is.

I want to use an emulator for a game that hasn't been released in english yet, but it has translated versions done by fans.
So I have to either wait 8 months or play the game with a flash cart or emulator.
it's not fair to assume all emulator uses are pirates.

**** you, who wants to buy a DS and a flash card for it when there's the 3DS coming out soon.
I already have a few DSes, couple of them broken, and the other one has an outdated flash cart which has trouble loading some roms.



Even then, emulators are ofern actually better than running games on the console.

You have bigger screens, savestates, speedhacks, enhanced graphics, game mods etc.

Sorry then if we insult the 0.01% of people who buy a game in order to then go through the process of ripping it in order to restore it to a SD card and then be able to play that way ...

I noticed this (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1048790) but I can't imagine it working very well. Seriously, why not just buy a Nintendo DS and a flash card (or even just buy the game)? So much easier and it isn't very exactly expensive.
