I'm in the process of re-building a G4 PowerPC MDD 867MHz I just picked up - quieter fans etc. - and it only had a CDROM player/burner so I've ordered a DVD burner.
But I would like to get Tiger installed ASAP on a new HD over the weekend --- however I only have Tiger on DVD. We have some nice new Lacie external DVD drives at work that support both USB and Firewire ------- is it possible to boot off of the Lacie and do the standard install???
