So after installing Windows XP on my MacBook Pro, I went back to OS X and now my display is all wonky (the colors are off and rainbow-ish). It works fine when I hook it up to my 20" display, however. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

None of the display preferences work.
Now it's been doing it in both Windows and OS X. The only way it doesn't do it is if I'm using my 20" display, or if I restart specifically using the BootCamp icon in the toolbar in Windows.
I have since restored my system to a single OS X partition, but the problem still remains. It starts as soon as the boot up screen appears.

Does repeatedly pressing <ctrl><option><command><comma> improve it?

I've had this problem is well. You will need to reset your computer's NVRAM (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=2238) to restore the colors on your screen to normal. Also if possible avoid restarting with Windows (instead shut down) because this problem only seems to occur with a restart from Windows.

I've been having this problem for a while on my Core Duo MacBook Pro and filed a bug report about it with Apple. I haven't heard anything back. Is it worth a call to AppleCare? I am a bit afraid to as this will be the third time I have sent this computer in for repair, and last time Apple took almost a month to send my computer back to me.
