Is there a site/link that discusses installing a clean OS (X) without multiple languages and other things I don't want/need? When comparing this process to the install that will come on my MBP is it worth the hassle to do a clean install?

You can choose not to install the printer drivers and languages and such when booting from the DVD.

Is it worth the hassle? IMO, no. If space is at a premium, you'd gain more and do it more easily by throwing out applications you don't use and by archiving photos you don't look at often.

Agree with the IJ Reilly, not worth it. You can use Monolingual to delete the languages (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/7758) you do not want. Also in /Library/Printers, you can delete all but the specific drivers you need.
