Can a DVD be burned using Toast? The manual refers to a special code requirement. I'm totally frustrated with iDVD and am looking for an alternatire.
Thanks for any ideas.

Nick

You can burn data DVDs with toast, but I assume you want to be able to burn a home made movie to a MPEG2 DVD?
I don't think Toast can "create" a DVD movie.
Maybe you should try CaptyDVD (http://www.lacie.com/products/product.htm?id=10064)

Toast itself can't create DVD content, but it will burn DVD-video discs as long as you have an app that will build a VIDEO_TS folder. Once you have that folder Toast will burn the disc.

DVD studio pro will build a VIDEO_TS folder to your hard drive, as will other apps.
