Education discount makes it $119 instead of the usual $69 that every other version of OS X has been.:mad:

If you buy a qualifying Mac between October 1, 2007 and December 29, 2007, and it does not include Mac OS X Leopard, you’re eligible to get Leopard after it’s released for just $9.95 plus tax.

If your company has an employee discount agreement with Apple, the employee discounted price for Leopard is $107.10 for a single license or $165.20 for a family license pack.

Does anyone have any ideas when you will be able to order pre-loaded mac's off the online mac store?
Will it be on the 26th?

In the excitement of checking out the Apple site's Leopard preview I noticed something I hadn't before -- does Leopard not mount volumes on the desktop anymore? In the pics I have seen of the new desktop, none of them have had mounted drives/volumes. Am I missing something here?

If I remember correctly, a single license of Tiger could be used on 3 computers (not 100% sure, only had 1 mac when Tiger came out). Can you do the same for Leopard? Or am I just going to have to buy the Family Pack?

It maybe taking into account the time for TimeMachine and Spotlight to 'do their thing'.
You know indexing and backing up etc.

I dunno...the only reason the release date is still 10 days away is they need time to burndiscs. I wouldb't be surprised if any new MAC you ordered today came with Leopard pre-installed.
I bought mine last week, so it has 10.4.10 installed, plus I get Leopard for $9.95, so I have the option to upgrade or not. Me likes :)

i doubt you would get a mac in the next few days that had leopard installed. my guess would be that they would hold your machine before they shipped it.
