Since so much talk is about 10.2 I thought it was a good time for a poll. The poll is: Will 10.2 come out at WWDC?
Options:
YES
No

It will be demo'd at WWDC and be available shortly after. That's my speculation.

I'm with with dukestreet on this, Introduction of OSX.2 at the WWDC but will be shipping at MWSF 03.....:p Actually maybe alittle before:p

those quicktime movies came out quite a while ago...
I think we'll see it at least as a demo...
but like they are already saying here...I'd be willing to bet we can't get our hands on it till later...
it would make sense in the true Apple Tradition...they need to at least show the public that they have something since they take so damned long with it...

I voted yes.
But I guess only a preview will be shown.
And a final release will happen at MWNY.

My thoughts exactly. But it'll probably be a month or two before it actually ships...

i believe we will only see 10.2 as a joint release with the unveiling of the G5. Until the G5 is ready, which judging by WWDC hints at 10.2 may be soon, 10.2 will be shelved. I'm beginning to believe in G5s at MWNY, here's to wishful thinking.

I am inclined to agree that it will be demo'd at WWDC, but won't be actually released until around MWNY. I hope we don't have to wait for the G5's to come out to see 10.2, since we have no idea on the time frame for those puppies.
I know we are all hoping to see the G5 at MWNY, but until it actually gets released, we won't know. Every guess is just that, until Apple makes it so.

Just remember that the movies of 10.2 are from the build compiled in 2001 thats floating around...
And my prediction is release immediately after WWDC.
And you can bet it's going to blow your mind away with speed.
iTunes still sucks on proc uses with G3's but they are not long for this world...

I reckon it'll be previewed and then it will be released a few weeks/months later...I'm thinking probably before MWNY...

Well, in my humble opinion, they are going to show off the power of 10.2 at the Developers Conference just to get the road to MWNY ready.
If there is no G5 in July, 10.2 should be a mean to balance the disappointment and calm users down a little bit.

Nope, 10.2 will NOT come out during the WWDC.
Go to Apple's website, and then click the "Mac OS X" tab. You will see something that says "See a sneak peak of the next release of Mac OS X, Code Named Jaguar."
You hear that, a Sneak Peak! Not a release! Im sure it will be available either on MWNY, or slightly before.

I reckon we won't see 10.2 until MWNY.

With the buzzing we're hearing about 10.1.5 now, maybe 10.2 is farther off than we think...

Right on! I voted wrong by accident. I'll be excited to see the demo at WWDC.

At least that's what this Reg article (http://www.theregus.com/content/39/24674.html) says, anyway.

I can't even believe there's now a 10.1.5 discussion going around...we just got 10.1.4...why didn't the just wait for 10.1.5?
