The first is mail.appetizer and the second is Inquisitor. Will there be updated versions for these great plugins?

Inquisitor! I may have to not upgrade...
SafariStand is not yet compatible, and I have heard the same about httpmail...
Here (http://www.newsfirerss.com/blog/?p=175) is an old article on DW's blog about the future of Inquisitor on Leopard...its a plugin thats good enough to switch someone to Safari....

Instead of mail.appetizer, try Growl with GrowlMail. That should work fine in Leopard.

Yeah, Inquisitor, sadly, is done for.
Growl on the other hand, I expect will be updated to work with Leopard.

Listen up! Inquisitor is NOT dead. Simply get PlugSuit at http://millenomi.altervista.org/PlugSuit/
Once installed, it gives inquisitor to use the input manager stuff it needs, which is turned off by default in leopard. It'll make your other safari plugins will work too, since they probably rely on the same mechanism.
Now, has anyone figured out how to get growlMail working?

not the two that I want, namely acidsearch and saft.
I really hope they both get updated soon.

I haven't been able to get GrowlMail to work with Leopard, but I did get Growl notifications working with Mail.app and Growl (without GrowlMail). The solutions is a combination of AppleScript and a Mail.app rule. I wrote this up and detailed the procedure for getting this working here:

Um... what? You guys, Inquisitor was re-packaged for Leopard (http://www.inquisitorx.com/safari/releasenotes.php) days before Leopard's release. Just upgrade to the latest version.
Even Saft has been updated for Leopard now. Most inputmanagers will still work, despite what you may have heard. They just need to be packaged differently to live up to Leopard's security measures.

I installed it but how do I activate it? Before I could activate it using the preferences of Safari. Now the option is not there. I have tried that on both my macs

Yeah AcidSearch is my favorite. I don't understand why more people don't talk about it, and encourage (and/or pay) the developer to continue working on it. (Just being able to right-click highlighted text and dump it into a customized search engine is incredible to me.)
