Is there no way to view my photos in the Finder now?
I'm not sure if this has changed in iPhoto or in Leopard.
All I get now is an iPhoto Library icon, which opens with iPhoto and not Finder, anyone know how I can get access to my photos with Finder?

Right click it->Show package contents :)

You might try right clicking (or ctrl clicking) on the file in Finder and do "Show Package Contents" if it's there. Otherwise no idea. But honestly I wouldn't poke around at the iPhoto file. It can do bad things.

That change happened with iLife '08. As mentioned already, the photos are stored in a package type folder.
I think the reason for this is that people were removing photos from the folder and adding stuff in and iPhoto didn't know about the changes (therefore not updating properly). Apple probably got a bunch of crazy support calls over this. So, by (somewhat) controlling access to the iPhoto folder, iPhoto can keep good track of what's actually there and what's not, making sure proper thumbnails are made, photos are added to an event, etc...
