CD Player doesn't recognize music CD

Did I do something wrong?

Last night I downloaded from the Apple Music Store and burned the music to a CD using my new iMac. This morning I placed the CD in my CD player and the player didn't recognize the CD.

Am I doing something wrong?

What type (brand/model) or CD player is it? Some CD Players specifically do not work with CD-R's.

A lot of older DVD Players didn;t have the irght laser for dealing with CD-R's.

Also there is a possibility the disk didn't burn corrently. Did you burn it as an MP3 disc or an audio disc? I would check this first.
