G4 Sleep Problems

Anyone experiencing Sleep problems in Leopard with the computer shutting down? i have a Dual Door Mirrored 867 with a new HD and a fresh install of 10.5. Sometimes the computer will sleep normally, other times the computer will completely power down when I choose to sleep it. Very random.

I have a MDD Dual 867, which would hardly ever sleep under 10.4, now that I have 10.5 installed, sleep happens exactly as it should! I was really happy about this. I did an archive and install btw, not sure why your computer doesn't? What video card are you running? What add-on cards? I have a (flashed pc) 9800 pro 128mb, two USB2 pci cards, and a PCI wireless G card installed.

I also have a Mac Radeon 9800 card. No other PCI Cards. Only 2 internal drives and the OS drive is brand new.

Unlike you, I have never had sleeping problems until Leopard.

I am holding off upgrading to Leopard on my Mac Book Pro until Avid has 10.5 support.
