Preview Question

Is there a way to select text in Preview when viewing a PDF? I ask because Reader 6.0 is so slow, and preview loads so much faster. But I need to be able to copy text from my PDF's to the clipboard from time to time.

i don't think so in the jag version but in panther you can

in the OS X 10.3 version of Preview, there is a preference to be able to select text.
