Display issue with Doom 3?

I have a stock model MacPro (2.66ghz) running a dell 24inch at 1920 x 1200 with OSX 10.5. For some reason when I try to run Doom 3 all I get is sound. I have updated it with the Intel patch from aspyr, but I cant get any video. As a weird annoyance when I run it on my macbook which is not near the power of my MacPro it runs with video and everything. Any have any suggestions so i can get it running correctly.

Have you tried opening Doom 3 while pressing <COMMAND> (IIRC.. could also be <ALT>..) and see if it will run in "Windowed mode"?
Maybe you can alter the display settings there, and try again.
