View Full Version : how to get my 360 to play U.S dvds ???

ive got a load of dvds that are U.S in region and my 360 wont play U.S dvds is there any way to get it to play em (with out paying if i have to in not cheap just dont want to pay if i dont have to :)

Rip them using some type of software to remove the region encoding, then reburn them to DVD-R.
Either that, or buy a Region Free DVD player.
You'll also need a TV capable of displaying NTSC signals.

Don't waste your time with it, the xbox 360 is a terrible DVD player in my experience, for the reasons here (http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,2088533,00.asp). :(

I've never had a problem with mine. Can't tell ANY discernible difference to the expensive denon standalone dvd player with upscaler I have, or to the PS3 either.

DVD's look outstanding upscaled to 720p on our 360. Hmm.
