Keyboard issue

I have a problem when running XP that the volume and eject controls wont work on my keyboard if i'm logged in as a user with a limited account. Logging in as an admin and it all works. Is this the way it works and is there any way to resolve this?

maybe you need a different driver for the keyboard.

Thanks for the reply. The driver should be ok as the controls were working fine with this account, was originally an administrator account but i changed the account type to limited then volume and eject stopped working.
