Unable to proceed with windows xp install

I'm trying to install Windows XP with bootcamp. However, when I get to the first blue screen where I'm asked to press enter for new install, E for repair and F3 to quit it hangs. No matter what i press nothing happens. I can't even quit without turning the mac off.

Any ideas??

I don;t know if I had a similar problem with what you're having. For me, it was taht every 2% or so it would say the file could not be installed and such, then after this happened a few times I decided to quit the installer and then my Mac screwed up xD Well anyway, I'd also like to know whats the cause of this.

Which version of XP is it? Is the keyboard wireless?

I don't know about the OP'S but mine that I tried is/was SP2.

It's XP home edition. from 2002. I'm using a macbook
