Thank you for reading this. I upgraded to Leopard a few nights ago. Leopard got confused with my one and only user account. I've spent 92 minutes on the phone with Apple support and roughly an hour with an in-store Genius. A lot of the problems have been fixed, but I am CONSTANTLY having to going into files/folder to change the "permissions" so that I - yes me, the one and only user of this computer - have "permission" to use various applications.

Can I make a one time change to open up all permissions? I am not worried about other people using my computer or hacking my computer. I don't care if it is wide open for the world to see; I just can't spend more hours and days changing individual permissions.

Thank you in advance for your advice.

I am the administrator of my own single account. Any time I want to trash files I get "finder requires that you type your pass word". When I need to change the name of one of my own files I get "you do not have enough access privileges to rename the item .....". I did repair privileges several times with no benefit. Any help, please? Using the computer becomes a nightmare. Many thanks.
