Having problem with my vista install

Brand new 24 Imac. Started bootcamp assistant. created partition (60g), it said insert windows disc, I insert vista ultimate (the 32bit) disc, it reads disc, I wait for disc icon to know its recognized, I click start install and osx shuts off, a grey comes on and mac is locked up. reboots would not work. i had to unplug imac and restart to eject disc. everythings is fine with osx once disc is removed. Any ideas what is the issue?

Should I be using 64 bit vista disc instead?

It seems that windows did not like my printer plugged into keyboard. Removed it and all is well.
