This is getting ridiculous. Every time i shut down my macbook i get a kernel panic message. What's worst is that sometimes at the next restart i can't get my keyboard to work, even though i did the keyboard update. Anyone else getting these?

EDIT: And because i'm an idiot, i missed the other thread about this:
http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=407492

Sorry, lock it if necessary.

go to Your home folder/Library/fonts and rename the fonts folder to fonts.old, restart your computer

I had the same thing on 17"G5, OS 10.4.11, repeated and seemingly random kernel panics. Replaced HD, made no difference. Replaced RAM - that helped a bit, except still panicking on login and shutdown/restart. Tried glev's solution, above, and it's worked so far, touch wood! Wish I could understand why...

Is this still possible on Lion? No folders in my Library can be renamed!
