I completely wiped the HD on my 15" Powerbook G4. I went to reinstall, and found that the second install disk (Tiger 10.4) is broken. I've already loaded the first disk and its asking for the second disk that I can't use. Is it downloadable? Will apple send me a new one? Apple store? Any suggestions would be amazingly helpful.

Also, can a Powerbook G4 support the Leopard operating system? I'm thinking of upgrading one I figure out where to get a new second install disk. Thank you!

Is the leopard upgrade disk specific to each model of computer? ie. MacBook vs. MacBook Pro. Are the PPC and Intel upgrade disks different or is it all the same?

The retail Leopard disc is universal...PPC and Intel versions are both on there. Yes, Leopard will run fine on a PB G4.

If you need to replace a damaged Tiger restore disc, contact Apple...they'll send you one for a nominal fee.
