Does the full version of iChat in Jaguar support animated buddy icons?

And there's not really a full or unfull version. There's iChat, and iChat AV. Those are both full versions of iChat, but one supports video conferencing.

As far as I know, neither supports animated buddy icons.

I mean that since iChat AV is only available to the public as a Beta app, and Jaguar will contain the full version of iChat AV, will that support animated icons? This is really a question for those with developer editions of Jaguar.

You're referring to Panther. 10.2 is Jaguar, which is what has been out for over a year now. 10.3 is Panther, which will be coming out soon.

If you like animated buddy icons, you should try iChat Streaming Icon (http://ichat.twosailors.com/), which adds both animated icons or (even better) live video streamed onto your buddy icon. It's quite impressive, especially to your AIM-using PC friends.

Hopefully, Apple will implement something similar right into the final, or next, version of iChat. But in the meantime, this little app works pretty well.
